Festival Village will take over Yonge-Dundas June 8th-17th

NXNE kicks off festival season every summer by taking over the city of Toronto every June for 10 days, bringing emerging live music to the city’s best concert venues.  The festivities includes a free, three-day music festival in the centre of the city at Canada’s biggest street corner, Yonge and Dundas.

NXNE BUILDS FESTIVAL VILLAGE ON YONGE STREET

From Friday through Sunday, June 15 -17,  Yonge street will be shutdown to cars and reserve only to pedestrians and festival-goers who will be able to enjoy, for free : great live music, hilarious stand up comedy, a free gaming station, cool activations, great community group information areas and a beer garden in Yonge/Dundas Square.

This year, NXNE will build Main Music Stage on Yonge Street just south of Dundas with top acts including: Chrvches, Jazz Cartier, Azealia Banks, Lights, Big Freedia, U.S. Girls, Yungblud, Robert DeLong,Torres, Cadence Weapon, Alx Veliz, Seon Leon, New Swears, Strands, Skye Wallace, Nate Husser, Kamikazee Girls, A is for Arrows and more. Music will start at 4 pm Friday and other activities will starts at noon on both Saturday and Sunday, all until 11 pm.

Chrvches is one of the highlights of three days of music, comedy, gaming and more as NXNE takes over Yonge Street from Dundas to Queen to create the NXNE Festival Village. Other artists to perform includes: Jazz Cartier, Azealia Banks, Lights, Big Freedia, U.S. Girls, Yungblud, Torres, Cadence Weapon and many more. There will also  be free Stand Up Comedy every day, a free Gaming Centre and, not to forget, a beer garden in the center of it all. An event not to be missed.
