Toronto named worst city in Canada for bed bugs
Toronto is usually at the top when it’s “best of” lists, but not this time. The city has been named Canada’s capital for bed bugs. With the summer season in high gear, pest control provider, GreenLeaf Pest Control Toronto has come out with the first-ever list of bed bug cities. Based on the number of residential and commercial bed bug treatments carried out , Canada’s biggest offender is Toronto, followed by Winnipeg and Vancouver. This is expected to be a bumper year for bed bugs. According to the bed bug registry, there are currently 2270 reports for the critters across the city.
Their advice for travellers: Thoroughly insect beds, soft furnishings and framed pictures, looking for insects, blood stains, eggs or dead bugs. Keep your luggage elevated and when you get home, leave the luggage in the garage. Put all of your clothing in the drier at the highest temperature for 15 minutes.
