Up to 10 people hit by vehicle on Yonge and Finch Toronto

10 people hit by vehicle on Yonge and Finch – Police where called to Yonge Street and Finch Ave. early this afternoon as a white van was seen hitting people on the street and sidewalk. At least nine people are considered dead with many more injured lying on the street and sidewalks.

Police have one suspect in custody.

The Trauma centre at Sunnybrook hospital have been receiving the injured victims. For a precaution the trauma centre has been placed on lock down.

Police have closed the southbound lane of Yonge at the intersection of Finch. People are asked to avoid the area as the investigation is still on going.
