Evolution Gaming, which is headquartered in Riga, Latvia, has announced a partnership with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) Corporation.

Evolution provides video-streamed live dealer gaming solutions for gaming operators worldwide, such as many of those included in canadagamblingonline.com listed here. Its offerings include online live casino games for laptops, iPads and smartphones, live casino TV show content and betting interfaces, mobile gaming solutions, and live presenter online slot games.

The collaboration means that a wide range of Evolution powered live dealer and RNG (Random Number Generated) games will be available to OLG customers. They include Roulette, Blackjack and Baccarat. Live dealer games have a particular appeal to some because they get the feeling that they are actually in a casino itself, interacting directly with each other, and real casino dealers via video feed over the internet.

OLG is the fourth Canadian province to team-up with Evolution, with British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) and Loto-Quebec already partners with the gaming platform, and streaming live games to subscribers from Evolution’s studio in Vancouver.

Within Ontario, OLG is the agency responsible for the development of a world class gaming entertainment environment within the province. Its remit includes the conduct and management of land-based gaming facilities, internet gambling, and the sale of lottery games. They are also helping to build a more sustainable horse racing industry in Ontario.

OLG has provided approximately CAD $55 billion in revenue to the Province since 1975, which has been used to support key government policies and initiatives in areas such as health care support for amateur sport as well as programmes to combat problem gambling.

In addition, each year certain proceeds from OLG activities are reserved to support host communities, First Nation groups,, lottery retailers and local charities.

Although many national stereotypes portray Canadians as being obsessed with sport, in particular hockey, in fact there are other forms of entertainment that have become more popular with them in recent years, especially since the pandemic and the lockdowns that followed.

Online casinos have experienced a surge of popularity, with more people playing online than ever before. And the live dealer experience is definitely catching on, with some operators now offering audio and even olfactory effects to their games to mimic the experience of actually being in a casino itself.

It is easy to understand why. Gambling platforms have become more accessible, so irrespective of whether you live in a big city, or a remote shack, all that is needed is access to the internet. And, unlike their physical equivalents, online casinos are open 24/7, 365 days a year. There are no queues or having to travel distances to get there, everything can be accessed from the comfort of a subscriber’s home.

Video games have also become a big part of their everyday lives for many Canadians. And, even for those who are not fans of consoles of computers, mobile gaming has seen a substantive increase in high-end games that can be played anytime, anywhere, provided that there isa an internet connection available.
