The McGill Bird Observatory has received $15,000 from TD’s Friends of the Environment Foundation for various projects in recent years. These donations have allowed, among others, the coordinator of the Observatory to pursue training in hummingbird banding, to buy a solar power system and to fund the Barn Swallow nesting structure.

The McGill Bird Observatory (www.oommbo.org) is the principal research station of the Migration Research Foundation, an incorporated non-profit organization committed to monitoring the distribution and movements of wildlife for conservation research purposes. All research activities are conducted by trained volunteers and a coordinator.
