Ontario opens legal online gambling market

It is a fact that Canada is home to the world’s best online casinos. Currently Canada is ranked eighth among countries, with over 19.3 million active online gamblers, who are spending big in this area. It would not be a surprise that huge revenue generation takes place in Canada. A report by Canadian Gaming Industry says that Canadians players pay $16 billion annually in local casinos on an average.

Ontario is the first province in this country that have allowed private companies to operate in online gaming. The opening is the work of almost three years when the government of the province planned to end the lottery‘s online gambling monopoly in April 2019. The CEO of rush street interactive’s BetRivers, Richard Schwartz, said that the company has already hired 50 individuals for its Ontario operations in Toronto. From April 4, 2022, IGaming will be offered to those gaming operators that have been a member of AGCO, which is known as Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Now people in Ontario can wager on casino games and some other gambling activities through online casino websites and certain smartphone apps from the operators that have registered already. The count now has registered operators at 25.

It has also been declared by AGCO that the number of participating operators can grow but not all sites will be able to launch right away. The players will soon be able to play on the choice of their sites with the all security and assurance that these sites are being closely monitored.

Canadian brand thescore bet has been rolling out online advertising. The company also has sbeen revealing its plan to launch parties for a weekend from Saturday to Monday for all its fan.

Before the launch, the iGaming Ontario had handed a series of licences and approved a host of major brands to conduct experiments. As a result of this practise, licences were issued to a few gambling apps including FamDuel, Bet365 and Rush Street interactive. Thereafter, all online casinos had applied for registration, see more about Canadian online casinos in casinofy.com/ca

How this plan was executed is a matter of discussion. Actually, from the outset the Levy family and ‘the score’ team played a meaningful role in championing the legislation, regulation and creation of Ontario’s framework. John Levy also appreciated by applauding that the Ontario government has created a safe, consumer friendly platform that could entertain millions of people.

However, not everyone is happy with the arrival of new platform. For example, the chief executive Jim Lawson at Woodbine Entertainment is too concerned about the increasing popularity of this kind of gaming. His major concern is that this market could have an adverse impact on the horse racing industry which is the successful business here.

Some of the best online casinos in Canada are:

1) Jackpot City – it is one of the best throughout Canada. It offers a few pros such as having 500 top quality casinos games. Moreover, quick withdrawals are also a perk. However, it does not accept crypto, which is a big disadvantage.

2) Royal Panda – is known as the best for progressive slots as it has more to offer including stellar jackpots selection and welcoming bonus and excellent mobile functionality. This online casino also offers everything from traditional online slots to table games to live casinos games and many more.

3) Bodog – it is often recognised as the best site for betting. Its major plus point is that it accepts crypto and 30+sports to bet on. Nevertheless, it does have a downside that cannot be neglected as there are no e-wallets.
