Pet of the Week – Meet Ruby the Doberman

Meet Ruby, a one and a half year old Doberman who lives in Dollard des Ormeaux. His owner Mindy Weigensberg would like to thank him for taking time out of his busy schedule of sunbathing and cuddling to answer a few short questions:

So, Ruby, tell us something your friends might not know about you?

RUBY: Well… okay. I have a few nicknames.

Like what?

RUBY: Umm… Rubix, Cubix, Zirconia and Munchkin.

What are your favorite toys?

RUBY: That’s easy! My rubber chicken and rubber pig from Walmart!

What is your favorite pastime?

RUBY: Playing in the park with my close circle of friends and cuddling with my peeps.

What words best describe your ‘dogonality’?

RUBY: Attentive and loving

What are your guilty pleasures?

RUBY: Guilty?

Okay, what are your pleasures?

RUBY: Chewing up my bed, getting a mani/pedi from mommy and napping when I should be on guard.

What is your greatest fear?

RUBY: That’s easy…the horses in the Old Port.

What is your ‘Pet Peeve’? Excuse the pun.

RUBY: When I’m the subject of Breed Profiling from strangers who don’t take the time to get to know me.

And your aspirations?

RUBY: To follow my passion for making people happy and continue volunteering my time as a therapy dog when visiting my grandmother at her residence.
