The Provigo Le Marché in Pierrefonds supports healthy and active kids through a donation to the Starlight Children’s Foundation

The team representing the Provigo Le Marché store in Pierrefonds is pleased to announced that it has provided funding of $5,000 to the Starlight Children’s Foundation as part of the Loblaw Healthy Active Kids donation program.

The Healthy Active Kids donation program aims to support programs through which children and youth can increase their knowledge and awareness of nutrition, physical activity and healthy lifestyles, bringing them closer to their communities and helping them acquire skills that will last a lifetime.

For over 25 years, the Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada has brightened the lives of children with serious illnesses, bringing them joy, laughter and comfort. They focus their efforts on the family at a time when they feel most isolated, offering a range of unique programs and events built to provide an escape from the everyday realities of a serious illness.

“The Loblaw Healthy Active Kids donation program is just one of the many measures we have taken to make a positive difference in our community,” said Carole Côté, Provigo store manager. “We are excited to be able to support the remarkable efforts of organizations like the Starlight Foundation.”

Through the Healthy Active Kids donation program, a total of $40,000 this year has been awarded to 20 organizations across the province that are working to provide a supportive and participatory after school environment to help children and youth increase their knowledge and awareness of nutrition, physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Each of the recipient organizations will receive a donation of up to $5,000.
