1. Be Well Dressed

Yes, you should aim to dress well and ensure your child is also well dressed. This is important because even if your kid wants to wear a princess dress, she’ll definitely complain about how itchy it is after wearing it for some time. Therefore, make sure you plan appropriately and ahead of time. There are many other fantastic Disney outfits that you can show your child that would look great instead of a princess dress. If she insists on wearing the dress, make sure that you pack a spare outfit in case she changes her mind (and she will!). Make sure that you walk with a jacket or wear layers since it may be cold.

2. Bring Souvenirs

Next, pack a couple or at least one Disney character item that you got at a Disney clearance sale. This is important just in case your have to deal with a meltdown. Now, this doesn’t mean you should simply give your kid toys so they don’t get upset but the vast majority of kids that leave after seeing Disney on Ice absolutely want souvenir items or toys that are related to the show. So, the chances of a tantrum are quite high and you should be prepared. By having a surprise gift you can help appease your child and ensure they don’t throw a tantrum in public for Tinker Bell flower hats, Cars collectibles etc. By having these small backup souvenirs, you’ll surely save yourself a great deal of distress. Take a look at these toys as seen at disney on ice, unique light up frozen snowflake wand.

3. Food Before The Event

Of course, you won’t be packing any alcohol, but you’ll still need to set up pre-game food. This will ensure that all the adults and kids are happy and filled. You should also carry some snacks and water just in case anyone gets hungry or thirsty. This will save you money and you won’t have to fight through crowds just to get these items.

4. Decide On One Large Expense

You may definitely want to get at least one thing at Disney on Ice. What you get is dependent on you and your kid such as a Cars hat, cotton candy etc. Do keep in mind that the minimum you can expect to spend is around $12 so make sure to think carefully about what you’d like to get and would give you the most bang for your buck.

5. Leave Before The End Or Sit Through It All

You should definitely leave before the goodbye song starts so that you can avoid all of the people and kids trying to leave at the end. Now, if you want to see every second of the show, then it is better to simply sit and wait until most people leave. You can even stay in the parking lot and wait until most cars have left or it is clear enough for you to easily drive out.

6. Diversion

The very worst thing you can tell a kid right after they’ve seen Disney on Ice is that it’s time to go home and sleep. You should know your child would be too excited to sleep at home even though she might sleep in the car on the drive home. With that said, don’t take away her excitement just yet by bringing her back to reality where she needs to go brush her teeth and settle in bed. Instead, you should make an excuse to go to your car and pull out a surprise, just for her. That way, the show and entire experience would be extremely memorable and something she’d always look back fondly on.
