Montréal Ghosts

Old Montréal is as beautiful by day as it is mysterious by night. When the sun goes down, travellers to the city can venture on a theatrical haunted night tour with Montréal Ghosts. Guided by a creepily clad tour guide, visitors can hear the hair-raising stories of unsettling and unexplainable events that took place in the city’s oldest avenues. Offered year-round, public or private tours are 90 minutes in length and offered in both English and French.

La Ronde Fright Fest (Montréal)

Every weekend of the month beginning October 8, grisly monsters will roam La Ronde amusement park in Montréal with the return of Fright Fest. Visitors can expect themed rides, Scare Zones and other seriously frightening attractions, like the Evil Circus – a 3D experience where terrifying visuals and maniacal clowns raise the bar for haunted house experiences. Fright Fest guarantees this year will be scarier than ever before, and warns that after 5:30 p.m., the park is not suitable for children under 12-years-old. In the daytime starting at 1 p.m., families with younger children can enjoy activities like the Kids Pumpkin Festival and more (to be announced).

Night of Terror (Laval)

For a truly terrifying Halloween experience, Night of Terror in Laval (30 minutes north of Montréal) presents Nightmare that’s sure to exceed typical haunted house expectations. This year, Night of Terror promises its most immersive experience to-date, with over 35 minutes of heart-pounding theatrics that tell a truly dreadful story. The “Ultra VIP” ticket includes a two-hour thematic dinner followed by a line bypass into the haunted house. Night of Terror is open every Friday and Saturday for the month of October and is not recommended for those 16 years of age and under – or for the faint of heart.

Pontiac Haunted Tour (Outaouais region):

Every Tuesday evening for the month of October, local storyteller Greg Graham from Aventure Outaouais is leading the Pontiac Haunted Tour in the quaint and historical town of Bristol in Québec’s Outaouais region – the site of Canada’s first registered poltergeist. Visitors can learn about (and maybe even encounter) the spirits haunting Pine Lodge, Haughton Bay, Starborn Farms and Coronation Hall Cider Mills. Transportation is included, and homemade pie and hot apple cider are offered to calm unsettled nerves after this bone-chilling tour. Tours are offered in both English and French.

Ghost Tours of Québec (Québec City):

s one of the oldest cities in Canada, Québec City is wrought with history and lore – much of which involves tales of murders, tragedies, hauntings and unexplainable phenomena. With Ghost Tours of Québec, visitors can wander through the ancient 17th century streets of Old Quebec by lantern light and learn about 400 years of haunted history with an expert (and costumed) tour guide. Available year-round, tours are 90 minutes long and offered in both English and French.
