It’s no secret that vape and dab pens have been used by people who are guilty of having fun with vapours. While vaping is always done in the comfort of your own home, there’ll be a time when you need to travel and bring your device with you.

However, there are common challenges you may face when travelling and vaping. To overcome those challenges, you should know these tips for travelling with your vape or dab pen:

1. Bring Another Unit

Bringing another vape device together with a portable dab rig is the number one thing you shouldn’t forget. If you’re unfamiliar with a dab rig, read here. Anyway, vape pens aren’t known for being capable of withstanding drops. And if you forget to bring an extra and drop your vape pen or if it suddenly fails, you’re screwed.

2. Bring Your Best Unit

Remember that finding a vape unit you’re comfortable with or even a vape shop can be challenging when you’re abroad or in an unfamiliar place. Also, bring the best vape device to ensure you’re all good during the trip.

3. Bring Extra Batteries

While disposable vape and dab pens are ideal when you’re just travelling nearby, you may want to bring a mod device when travelling far and for a long time. After all, there’s no guarantee you can get disposables when you need to in a place other than where you live.

4. Charge Your Batteries

And if you want to ensure you can vape with your mod for a long time, you should bring spare batteries. Of course, remember to charge them even before you leave the house to ensure the inconvenience of looking where you can charge them on the spot.

5. Ensure You Have A Charger

An extra unit and spare batteries will only last a few days. A charger must ensure you’ll continue enjoying vaping for long periods and give you a positive vaping experience. After all, an empty battery will bug you a lot since there will be times when you’ll crave a few puffs. You don’t want a drained battery to ruin your itinerary.

6. Empty Your Tanks And Dry Your Cotton

Leaving your vape device with a full tank can cause spills. You don’t want a spill to happen because vape juice can be icky, sticky, and smelly. While it’s true that these juices can smell great, it’s the last thing you may want other people to smell. Because of that, empty your tanks and dry your cotton or wick.

In addition to emptying your vape, disassemble it when commuting or flying. Remove the batteries and keep the tank or atomizer secured in your vape bag or pouch. Also, don’t leave your batteries on the charger. Put those batteries in a battery case to prevent them from touching anything metallic on your baggage. Also note that lithium batteries, the ones you may have right now, have the chance of igniting when brought inside a plane or at high altitudes.

7. Know Local Laws Regarding Vaping

Some countries, states, towns, and establishments may have rules or policies regarding vaping and vape devices. Know the difference between a regular vape pen and a dab pen. Be sure to know which one you’ll bring when travelling as the latter may be highly restricted in most places.

Aside from that, even if there are no laws, be courteous when vaping. Never let your vapour hit anyone’s face; or at the very least, don’t make them inhale any of your vapour or even smell it. You wouldn’t know if anyone would be offended or annoyed with your vapour.

8. Be Wary Of Cannabis Restriction

In some countries, consuming or having possession of any cannabis-related material in any form is illegal. The last thing you want during your travel is for you to be detained and deported. Practice due diligence.

9. Bring A Variety Of Juice

You’ll never know when you’ll be tired of the current flavour you’re puffing. Because of that, you need to bring a few bottles of your e-juices with you. It’ll also help if you get some menthol crystals and nicotine drips in case you want to customize the menthol and nicotine strengths of the juices you bought with you and the ones you’ll buy.

Also, avoid bringing juices stored in glass containers. Remember that glass can break when subjected to pressure changes, so juice in plastic containers or cartridges is the best way to go. Aside from being capable of enduring pressure changes, plastic containers won’t burst or break when placed under different items inside your bag or carry-on luggage.

10. Remember That Vape Devices Aren’t Allowed In Checking Luggage

Speaking of luggage, know that most airlines will bar you from placing vape devices in your checking luggage. This prevents your vape device from starting a fire and puts the plane at risk of crashing.

Final thoughts

When travelling with your vape or dab pen, you need to know these things. Be sure to follow them to prevent things from disrupting your enjoyment while moving about in your destination.
