Here is the incredible lineup of aircraft scheduled for this year’s air show at the CNE
In celebration of 75 years of the Canadian International Air Show and 100 years of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), two of the world’s top demonstration teams will take flight over Toronto on Labour Day weekend. From August 31 to September 2, 2024 spectators can look forward to witnessing the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and the much-anticipated return of the Royal Air Force Acrobatic Team, the Red Arrows.
If you have grown up here in Toronto, you will know that the Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) is the highlight event along Toronto’s waterfront every labour day weekend. For those new to the city, or just visiting, the CIAS is Canada’s largest and longest-running air show, showcasing modern military jets, vintage warbirds, thrilling aerobatics, and much more.

Here we take a look at all the incredible lineup of aircraft that will be performing at this year’s Canadian International Air Show.

· See the Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) CL-415 Waterbomber.
· Experience Father/Son duo Redline Airshow piloting their Van’s RV-8.
· Watch the United States Air Force F-22 Demo, which highlights the Raptor’s exceptional maneuverability.
· See the Douglas C-47 Dakota on August 31.
· Enjoy the much-anticipated Avro Lancaster and the B-25J on September 1 & 2.
· Marvel at Kyle Fowler with his unique-looking plane, the Long-EZ.
· Catch Trevor Rafferty and his homebuilt Pitts 12, modeled off a 1930s barnstormer.
· Savour a variety of local food vendors at the refueling station and enjoy meet and greets with select performers.
· New in 2024, fans are invited to visit the free STEM area, which features full-size aircraft on display, a unique virtual reality experience, and aerospace exhibits.
· Continue the fun with same-day access to the CNE for Air Show ticket holders.

Where to watch the Airshow
Exclusive Air Show Zone
The Exclusive Air Show Zone that includes optimal viewing, commentary, vendors and more, is located within Marilyn Bell Park on the South Side of Lakeshore Blvd. West across from the Liberty Grand. East of British Columbia Blvd. The show can also be seen from some areas within the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) Fair. Additional FREE viewing areas are available along Toronto’s waterfront however, it would be a side view of the manoeuvres and no speakers to hear the narration.

Walking distance from CNE and parking
CIAS says the walking distance from most transit and parking locations near the CNE takes between 10 and 20 minutes (depending on which area in the CNE you arrive) to reach the Exclusive Air Show Zone. Map apps can direct you to this area when choosing walking as the mode of transport and the address listed above to support ease of access to our exciting Exclusive Air Show Zone.
