Featured recipes

Drawing on his years of professional experience, this busy father of two shows home cooks how to make delicious family-friendly meals like Chicken Schnitzel, Mom’s Meat Pie with Fruit Ketchup, Fish Burgers, Lamb Regu with Conchiglione, Seafood Chowder and Brussels Sprouts with Spicy Maple Vinaigrette.

Easy-to-follow Instructions

While some recipes may sound fancy (like Quebec Snow Crab Omelette with Wild Ramp Pesto), the instructions are easy to follow. Other recipes (like Hot Dog Bun French Toast) are kid-friendly and super easy to make. Nod to Quebec

Hughes pays tribute to his home province of Quebec in the chapter called Sugar Shack featuring recipes like Tire d’érable (taffy boiled down from maple syrup and traditionally served on snow and rolled into sticks) and Crepes au Sirop d’érable —his version of the famous crepes with maple syrup served at Fairmont Le Chateau Montebello in Quebec.
