TORONTO, October 15, 2024 –A new block of tickets for Starvox Entertainment’s highly anticipated cult-classic Evil Dead The Musical production has been released just in time for the year’s spookiest night! Due to overwhelming demand, producers have added a special 10:30 pm Halloween performance on October 31st and extended the run through to Christmas. For Toronto based groups looking for an unforgettable event or holiday party, producers have also introduced a “Splat The Boss” promotion that features a walk-on opportunity that ends in mayhem with your boss wrestling demons and left covered in fake blood .
Dubbed the next Rocky Horror by The New York Times, the Canadian laugh-out-loud campy musical which takes up residency at the Randolph Theatre this month, features a new cast, with Aaron Robinson making his Toronto debut in the leading role of chainsaw-wielding hero, Ash.
“This is the fifth time we have presented Evil Dead The Musical in Toronto and each time we see large increases in the audience,” says Starvox Entertainment CEO, Corey Ross. “This show started here in Toronto over twenty years ago and now has legions of fans worldwide because it’s hilarious and is without question the best night out you can have at the theatre”.

Evil Dead The Musical follows the story of five college students in an abandoned cabin in the woods who become transformed into demons after accidentally unleashing an evil force. Ash, a demon-killing hero, is tasked with saving the day with his trusty chainsaw. Over the show’s remarkable trajectory thousands of gallons of blood have been sprayed on super fans who snap up seats in the ‘splatter zone’, the first few rows where they are guaranteed to be covered in fake blood as the ghoulish plot unfolds.
Leading the cast in the role of chainsaw-wielding hero, Ash is Aaron Robinson who will be making his Toronto theatre debut. A native of Springfield, Kentucky, Aaron is active in the theatre community in New York and has toured extensively throughout the US in productions of Little Women (John Brooke) and A Charlie Brown Christmas (Charlie Brown), The Music Man (Harold Hill) and Guys and Dolls (Nathan Detroit) at the Wagon Wheel Theatre, and Newsies (Davey) with The Lexington Theatre Company.
The brand-new cast features a number of debut performers, many hailing from across Canada Pascale Behrman will be performing double duty as Shelly and Annie. Aimée Tremblay Woodman has been cast in the role of Cheryl, Ash’s sweet and innocent younger sister. Kendra Brophy whose select credits Cirque du Soleil SPIRIT takes on the role of Linda, Ash’s girlfriend.
Rounding out the cast are Duncan Lang as Jake (Theatre Orangeville, Shifting Ground Collective), David Fox as Fake Shemp (Winnipeg Broadway Theatre Co.), Jean Blandon as Scott (Drayton Entertainment) and Charlie Clements as Ed (Sherdian College). Taryn Wichenko (Lower Ossington Theatre) will understudy the roles of Linda & Cheryl.

The production’s creative team includes co-creator Christopher Bond (Director), Aaron Eyre (Musical Director) Stacey Renee Maroske (Choreographer), Kevin Robinson (Fight Director), Gareth Crew (Lighting Designer) and Corwin Ferguson (Video/Projection Designer), Claudia Kada (Costume Designer), Michael Laird (Original Sound Design & Sound Consultation), Ryan Borshuk (Associate Sound Design), and Lindsay Anne Black (Set Design).
Based on Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead movie series, Evil Dead The Musical was last presented in Toronto in 2017. The production opened this month and runs through to Christmas at The Randolph Theatre, 736 Bathurst St. Tickets are available online at www.eviliscoming.ca.
