Here’s what’s happening this weekend for Canada’s largest open air book festival

TORONTO, June 10, 2022 – GTA book lovers are rejoicing as the Word On The Street (WOTS), Canada’s largest open-air book festival, is returning to the streets of Toronto on June 11 & 12, 2022 at Queen’s Park.

Over the course of the two days, Festival-goers can browse a vibrant marketplace for books, magazines, comics, and more by Canadian and Indigenous authors, and enjoy readings and panels featuring more than 100 authors on five stages over two full days.

Voted Toronto’s favourite literary event in NOW magazine’s 2021 Readers’ Choice Awards, the first WOTS festival was held in 1990, the International Year of Literacy, delighting readers of all ages for 33 years and hosting the biggest names in Canadian literature alongside rising stars.

The Word On The Street is a celebration of storytelling, ideas, and imagination.
