Line 6 Finch West is officially open! The new line is another major step in expanding the region’s rapid transit network, helping more people get where they need to go, safely and efficiently.
On top of seamless connections to major destinations like Humber Polytechnic, York University and Etobicoke General hospital, the new LRT provides connections to numerous local and regional transit systems.
On Dec 7, 2025, the TTC officially began service on Line 6 Finch West, formerly known as the Finch West LRT. The brand-new line features two stops at Humber Polytechnic on the west and Finch West Station on the east and 16 above-ground stops in between.
Line 6 Finch West is expected to move 12 million passengers a year by 2031 and will provide direct transit connections to the TTC, GO Transit, MiWay in Mississauga, Viva in York Region and Zum in Brampton bringing better transit connectivity to northwest Toronto.
