Snow T.O. Paint the Plow 2025 Winners Announced, Along with 2026 Student Deadline

TORONTO, December 22, 2025 – Snow T.O., Toronto’s snow-clearing partner, is kicking off the holiday season with the launch of its annual Paint the Plow contest, inviting Toronto students to turn their winter break creativity into artwork that could be featured on a Snow T.O. plow this winter. The contest, now entering its third season, offers families and educators a fun activity to enjoy together over the holidays while celebrating young artists across the city.

As Toronto’s provider of winter maintenance services, Snow T.O. created Paint the Plow to allow students to embrace their creative side during the colder months. The contest encourages participants to design winter-themed artwork, with the winning submission to be printed on the front of a Snow T.O. snowplow, bringing a splash of colour and personality to Toronto’s streets all winter long. They will also receive a $500 cash prize. Students will be able to track the plow with the winning artwork on GPS.

Above: On December 12, 2025, Anderson Quinn and Afreen Hossain were announced as winners for the 2024-2025 Snow T.O. Paint the Plow Contest. The deadline for this year’s contest submissions is January 30, 2026.

The contest continues to grow each year, with the 2024-2025 competition receiving hundreds of submissions. Afreen Hossain and Anderson Quinn were announced as the winners on December 12, 2025, both receiving cheques and a first look at the plows bearing their artwork at a special ceremony at their schools.

Paint the Plow is one of our favourite traditions at Snow T.O.,” said Jonathan Matson of Snow T.O. “It brings families together, supports young artists, and turns our plows into moving pieces of community art. We were so impressed by all the submissions we received last year and thrilled to crown Anderson and Afreen as our winners. We can’t wait to see what Toronto’s students create this year.”

Submissions will be judged on creativity, artistic skill, and each student’s unique interpretation of Toronto’s winter experience. Families are encouraged to make it a holiday project, whether sketching together at the kitchen table or crafting a design inspired by favourite winter traditions.
