TORONTO, December 9, 2025 — It has already started, and it is going to get muckier in Toronto well into Wednesday. Two Special Weather Statements have been issued for southern Ontario by Environment and Climate Change Canada; one for freezing drizzle and one for significant snowfall of 10 cm or more.
ECCC is saying that Toronto can expect total snowfall amounts of up to 10 cm beginning overnight and ending Wednesday morning or early afternoon. Additionally ECCC has issued a Yellow Warning for freezing drizzle into the night, delivering slick and icy surfaces.

Drivers can expect reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
This bout of nasty winter weather is due to an Alberta clipper, which will bring snow across the area, which may be heavy at times, beginning overnight. The snow is expected to taper to rain showers or flurries from southwest to northeast Wednesday.
