Summer in the Gardens returns to Casa Loma with al fresco dining and symphony concerts

TORONTO, Tuesday, May 23, 2023 – Today, Liberty Entertainment Group has announced it is once again pleased to unveil its seasonal calendar of events for Summer 2023, with the launch of its beloved Summer in the Gardens program. Never too soon to start making family memories in one of the city’s most picturesque outdoor settings, this year’s programming offers something for everyone, both Torontonians and visitors alike. 

Symphony in the Gardens: performances en plein air

Following the continued success of the Twilight Symphony in the Stables program, Casa Loma applauds the return of Maestro Paolo Busato and his Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra — with special guest vocalists and players – to the Glass Pavilion and the Gardens for performances on Monday evenings beginning June 5th.

The Symphony in the Gardens program line-up themes are as follows, and include both fan favourites as well as several exciting new additions: 

June 5th is Crooning Classics, June 12th is Classical, June 19th is Solid Gold, June 26th is Movie Night, July 3rd is The Virtuosi, July 10th is Psychedelic Monday, July 17th is Broadway Musicals, July 24th is Movie Night, July 31st is Salsa to Samba, August 7th is Big Band (a la Casa Loma Orchestra), August 14th is A Love Song to Italy, August 21st is Abba, August 28th is From Pavarotti to Callas, September 4 is Disney/Dreamworks Night. Soul In the City at Casa Loma

The second summer entertainment program is the perennial favourite, Soul in the City led by Juno award-winning vocalist, Sean Jones accompanied by his seven–piece band, the Righteous Echo. Launching Tuesday, June 20th in the spectacular Glass Pavilion, guests will enjoy stunning views of the city, majestic castle and the beautiful estate gardens while enjoying this energetic live show each Tuesday under the stars.

The return of dining al fresco in The Gardens 

Opening for outdoor dinner service on select evenings as of June 6th, the Gardens’ dining menu is globally inspired, offering seasonal fare ranging from starters and salads ($15 – $25) to grilled entrees ($26 – $48). The celebrated wine program at Casa Loma features something for all palates and purses, sourced from the castle’s underground wine cellar boasting the best of both new and old worlds. Guests will enjoy unparalleled views overlooking the city skyline in the shadow of the majestic castle, surrounded by the award-winning landscaping and fountains.
