With it comes the return of the pre-game tailgate party at Steam Whistle Brewing’s historic Roundhouse, directly across the street from the iconic dome on Bremner Boulevard.

And who says tailgate parties are only for football games and Grateful Dead concerts? Before every home game, Steam Whistle transforms a massive Toronto baseball hub, welcoming fans from across the country to tailgate before entering the dome. Thanks to Toronto’s Alcohol in Parks Program, it’s even OK to order a beer to-go from Steam Whistle and enjoy it in Roundhouse Park. All season long, fans without tickets can still join the action through a live broadcast inside “The Bird’s Nest” — and that includes road games as well.
The first tailgate party kicks off for Toronto’s home opener, Friday, March 27th.
“Anticipation is high after last year’s fantastic run through the playoffs,” says Greg Taylor, Co-Founder and CEO of Steam Whistle Brewing. “This is the next best thing to sitting in the bleachers, with a stadium-inspired menu, ice cold beer and a gathering of fans soaking up the atmosphere and welcoming our team back in a way only Toronto can.”
Three Hours Before
The Steam Whistle tailgate party starts three hours before the first pitch. Free and open to all, the tailgate offers fans a fun, family-friendly event to get ready to cheer on the home team. Thousands of fans filtered through the Roundhouse ahead of home games last season, and Steam Whistle is excited to celebrate the return of baseball this season.
The tailgate party features a full bar and food menu, including ballpark staples like smash burgers, hot dogs, chips and popcorn with vegan options available. Of course, you can also enjoy an ice-cold Steam Whistle pilsner, on tap or in cans to go.
