Outdoor Adventures
Skate Under the Lights at Nathan Phillips Square

Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St W, Toronto, ON M5H 2N1
Time: Open daily from 10 AM – 10 PM
Cost: Free admission, skate rentals available for a fee
Lace-up your skates and glide across the rink at Nathan Phillips Square, one of Toronto’s most iconic outdoor skating destinations. Warm up with a hot chocolate from a nearby vendor and enjoy the dazzling city lights.
Free Skating at The Bentway Skating Trail

Location: The Bentway under the Gardiner
Time: 12pm – 9pm
Cost: Free
Join us for this season’s final day of skating at The Bentway Skate Trail! We will be open 12pm-9pm on Monday, February 17.
Winter Fun at the Toronto Zoo’s Winterfest

Location: Toronto Zoo, 2000 Meadowvale Rd, Toronto, ON M1B 5K7
Time: February 15-17, 9 AM – 5 PM
Cost: Regular zoo admission applies
Visit the Toronto Zoo and experience special Family Day programming, including animal encounters, scavenger hunts, character meet and greets and conservation talks. Don’t forget to visit the polar bears and Arctic wolves!
Winter Activities at Evergreen Brick Works

Hands-On Learning at the Ontario Science Centre pop-up at Sherway Gardens and KidSpark at Harbourfront Centre

Visit Ontario Science Centre at CF Sherway Gardens to explore Circus! Science Under the Big Top, an interactive exhibition all about the science of your favourite circus acts. Admission to our Experience space is $15 including taxes (free for children 2 and under).
Harbourfront Centre pop-up
Step inside KidSpark, everyone’s favourite learn-through-play experience for children ages 10 and under. Discover the incredible world of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) through hands-on exhibits in three themed areas—Town & Country, The Health Hub and The Pond—that will inspire lots of playful learning. Admission is $15 including taxes (free for children 2 and under)
Discover the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM)

This Family Day weekend, ROM is the place to get up close to real-life specimens, make your very own fossils, meet an animatronic Utahraptor, and so much more. Plus, learn how dinosaurs and other prehistorical animals shaped our world—and what they can teach us about the future. NOTE: Family Day programming begins on Saturday, February 15. Friday, February 14 is a great day to experience the Museum at your own pace.
