Toronto music legends, Jay and Colin Linden are performing together at Hugh’s Room on Thursday August 8, 2024. Brothers, Jay and Colin Linden have been playing music together – well, really since before they could walk and talk! They’ve had long careers making music in both high and low profile environments.
The one constant is that they’ve never stopped playing together and this very special show reflects the almost 60 years they’ve spent playing whatever music they feel like playing. They are truly so glad to be able to share this unique experience with us all.
Jay Linden
Jay’s new album, Ordinary Sunrise continues to receive huge on-air support from the folk and roots music worlds – his songs soundly praised for their insight and power.
Colin Linden
Colin, who has played on 500 albums, has also produced more than 150 albums (including the 2020 Grammy winner – Oklahoma by Keb Mo). He also has 14 of his own, including his most recent – bLOW, earning Colin his 29th Juno nomination! Also, did you know Colin Linden was the main contributor to the music for the Nashville TV series and subsequent live tours.
“Roots music and blues do speak to a lot of people right now,” acknowledges Linden. “Much of the healing and release you get from listening to this music, the power and form of expression, has shown itself to be so vital in these times. It feels timeless because it’s such a raw nerve.”
