Toronto’s Aurora Winter Festival is more magical than ever

Presented by the Canadian National Exhibition the Aurora Winter Festival has transformed Ontario Place’s West Island in a magical winter wonderland with light displays, amusement rides, a Christmas Market, ice skating and more.

Mystical adventures and rides

Toronto is very fortunate to have so many winter-themed festivals during this magical time of the year. And this year’s incredible five-week Aurora Winter Festival will surely attract thousands with its impressive 170-foot tube park and an illuminated Ferris Wheel allowing for incredible views of the festival and the city skyline.

The festival also has four mystical worlds to explore including the magical Candy Cane Lane with a Gingerbread Hut, giant lollipops, cup cakes and other tasty treats, an Arctic Retreat with a Yeti Cave and giant Polar Bears, Luminous Gardens where you may even see a unicorn, and a Whimsical Forest featuring a Gnome village, Fairy Hollow and more.

Skating on the Frozen Pond

The Frozen Pond is located at the heart of the festival, with picturesque views in a beautiful holiday atmosphere. Glide along real ice, skating around brilliant light installations while enjoying a fun holiday soundtrack. Bring your own skates, or rent from the Skate Shack for $7. The Frozen Pond has no additional charge and is suitable for all skill levels (skating aids are available on site if required). Visit aurorafestival.com for more information.

CIBC Snowflake Square

Be sure to take a selfie at the CIBC Snowflake Square featuring a larger-than-life snow globe!
You can also get your groove on in the Disco Den, or take a ride on one of the many midway installations.

Santa and his elves

Also, making it that much more magical, each day of the Aurora Winter Festival Santa and His Elves will be on-site sharing their favourite holiday stories The Aurora Winter festival continues at Ontario Place from November 22, 2019 to January 5, 2020.

Food vendors

The Aurora Winter Festival in Toronto will feature more than 15 of your favourite Food Truck’s found in and around the city. Whether you would like a full meal or a tasty treat, the Village is the place to find something to fill your stomachs. And there will also be food trucks in the Midway area.
