TTC adds extra subway service for the Toronto Blue Jays World Series games, details planned weekend service adjustments

TORONTO, Oct. 24, 2025 — The TTC will run extra subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth to help fans get around the city safely as they cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays this Friday and Saturday. With no planned subway closures this weekend, taking the TTC is the fastest and most eco-friendly way to travel.

• Additional subway trains will be running on Line 1 Yonge-University and Line 2 Bloor-Danforth, ensuring that fans can easily travel to and from the games and festivities.

• TTC staff will be on site at Union Station to assist customers, answer questions, and manage crowds, ensuring a smooth experience for all travellers.

• If travelling on bus or streetcar routes in the downtown core, the 509 Harbourfront, 510 Spadina, 19 Bay, 114 Queens Quay East, and 121 Esplanade-River routes will get fans to and from the games.

The TTC is also advising customers of service adjustments to accommodate events and construction, and early nightly subway closures in the coming week to enable track work on a portion of Line 2 Bloor-Danforth.

A frequent shuttle bus service will run, stopping at each station along the route. Customers with accessibility needs can also take the 149 Etobicoke-Bloor Accessibility Shuttle bus, which operates between Kipling and High Park stations.

Wheel-Trans service will be available for any customer requiring assistance at Royal York Station. Islington Station is not accessible. Customers can speak with any TTC customer service staff member for assistance.

All subway stations will remain open for customers to purchase PRESTO fares, tickets and connect to surface routes.

The TTC is committed to keeping customers informed about work and events that impact service, as well as alternate route options. For the most up-to-date information, follow @TTCNotices on X or sign up for eAlerts.
