Firstly, you’ll need to make sure you have a console and enough controllers for everyone to be able to join in – friends can always bring theirs along to help things along. You might even want to ask them to bring some games with them to help make sure there is plenty of variety.
One thing to bear in mind is that recent research has shown that games consoles and controllers can be really filthy. In this current climate, we’re all much more aware of germs and how these spread, so keeping some anti-bacterial wipes on hand is recommended – this helps to make sure everything stays nice and clean.
Of course, you need to arrange a date and time with the people that you want to invite, but that’s usually the easy part.

As a host or hostess, you might be considering how you can make things even more fun. One of the first things to do is make sure everyone is well catered for. Snacks and drinks always go down well, and they don’t have to cost a fortune – some crisps and bottles of drink are usually enough to keep everyone satisfied, at least for a while. You can discuss dinner when everyone gets there, but usually, everyone chipping in to pay for a takeaway pizza or similar goes down well.
