2026 Canadian International AutoShow Sets Attendance Record

TORONTO, February 23, 2026 — The 2026 Canadian International AutoShow concluded Sunday, with a best-ever 374,678 visitors attending the show between February 13-22, demonstrating that interest in the Automotive industry and consumer-focused shows remains very high for Southern Ontario residents and visitors. This year’s show also set the record for attendance on any single day, with 58,232 people visiting the show on February 21. 

“From comparison shopping and test-drives to debuts and super cars, plus fun activities for the whole family and a special event with Sung Kang, we’re incredibly proud of the show we put together this year and thankful to everyone that helped make it happen,” said Jason Campbell, General Manager, Canadian International AutoShow. “I believe we’ve achieved our goal to deliver a show that reflects the incredible variety within the Automotive industry and give consumers a place to explore and better-understand the many great choices they have.”

Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame Induction Gala provides memorable conclusion

The Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame (CMHF) hosted its annual induction Gala at the AutoShow on February 21, attracting additional visitors and celebrating outstanding achievements and lasting contributions to Canadian racing19 new members were inducted into the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame, including Robert Wickens, who received an emotional standing ovation for his courageous comeback story For the full list, please visit cmhf.ca

The Automotive industry’s best, newest, coolest and rarest cars – all in one place

The AutoShow once again hosted the winners of the 2026 AJAC Canadian Car of the Year Awards, with Honda Civic, Hyundai Palisade, Porsche Taycan and Kia EV9 taking home the honours.This year, the show featured the global debut of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA) 2nd prototype in its Project Arrow series – BorealisThe show featured North American debuts for the McLaren W1 Supercar, Audi R26 Formula 1 Concept Car, and the, the Mini JCW X Deus Ex Machina concept.The show also featured Canadian debuts for the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N, Mercedes-Benz GLC 400 4MATIC with EQ Technology SUV, Polestar4 Arctic Circle, Cadillac F1 ® Team Replica Car, Maserati GT2 Stradale Coupe and three Ford Mustangs – the Dark Horse SC, RTR and Mach-E GT California special.Some of the rarest, most exotic supercars and hypercars in the world were on display, as well as some of the auto industry’s most extraordinary vehicles in The Vault, Presented by Simoniz.The past, present and future of Motorsports were on display throughout the AutoShow, featuring a journey through CTMP’s storied past and a glimpse into its future, the Gilles Villeneuve Pit Stop and F1 cars from Audi and Cadillac.

Fun for the whole family!

Alongside the life-size LEGO Cadillac, visitors could dive into the Family Play Vroom—where they could build their dream ride to take home, explore the LEGO F1 room featuring brick-built race car models from McLaren, Ferrari, and Williams Racing, and shop the latest vehicle sets at the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre retail store.

For Hot Wheels fans, the Hot Wheels Mercedes-Benz CLA art installation was a must-see and there was a hugely popular on-site Hot Wheels pop-up shop for fans and collectors to either start, or add to their collections.

Fans could see Ghostbuster’s ECTO-1 and take a trip back to the 80s and 90s with the collection of iconic, and sometimes quirky, vehicles from the past millennia in the OBLIVION exhibit. 

Sneak Peek of ‘DRIFTER’ by Sung Kang, Filmmaker and Automotive Enthusiast

Filmmaker and car enthusiast Sung Kang, known for his role as ‘Han’ in “The Fast and the Furious” film franchise, completed his three-day appearance at the Canadian International AutoShow by providing fans with a special sneak peek of his new film ‘DRIFTER,’ at the John Bassett Theatre at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
