Colours of Calgary to Take Over Sankofa Square

In case you are wondering what all the hubbub is in the heart of downtown Toronto on Tuesday, Tourism Calgary is bringing the warmth and hospitality of the Blue Sky City to Toronto’s Sankofa Square on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, with Colours of Calgary – a free, immersive, all-day activation to inspire Canadians to discover Calgary this summer and beyond.

Open to all ages, guests will be greeted with Calgary-style hospitality. In a tip of the hat to the city’s kind approach to service, guests will be served coffee with a smile courtesy of local award-winning Calgary roaster Monogram Coffee, then spin a prize wheel for a chance to win exclusive merchandise. The experience culminates in a White Hatting photo-op — Calgary’s iconic tradition of ceremoniously “topping” guests with a white cowboy hat to mark them as honorary Calgarians.

As more Canadians look to explore closer to home, Colours of Calgary offers Torontonians an immersive preview of the city’s lively energy, welcoming spirit, and year-round experiences! With 333 days of sunshine a year, the city bursts with adventure at every turn.
