CP Holiday Train Schedule 2024: A Magical Celebration Through Toronto
TORONTO, Nov. 11, 2024 – The holiday season in Toronto wouldn’t be the same without the beloved CP Holiday Train, which once again brings joy and music to communities across Canada, all for a great cause. This year, the CP Holiday Train will roll into the Greater Toronto Area on Friday, November 29, 2024, decked in lights and filled with holiday cheer. As in previous years, Several other Greater Toronto & Hamilton stations will also feature magical visits from either the CP or KC Holiday Train. Here we will share what’s planned for Toronto along with the Holiday Train and performance schedules for the rest of the GTHA!
Since its inception in 1999, the CP Holiday Train has captured hearts across North America, travelling through hundreds of communities. With a mission to raise funds, food, and awareness for local food banks, the Holiday Train brings a unique blend of festive spirit and community support to every stop. In Toronto, thousands are expected to line the tracks to witness this enchanting spectacle at 750 Runnymede Road. The event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m., creating the perfect setting for a holiday night out with family and friends.
Who will perform at the Toronto stop
The Toronto stop will feature live performances by Tyler Shaw and Shawnee Kish, continuing the train’s tradition of showcasing some of North America’s top musical talents. This year’s lineup promises an unforgettable experience with family-friendly tunes, classic holiday favourites, and a chance to sing along. The concerts are free to attend, but attendees are encouraged to bring a cash or non-perishable food donation to support local food banks, a cause that’s especially meaningful as winter approaches.
Each car on the train is illuminated by thousands of colourful lights, creating a moving festival of colour. Families, friends, and neighbours gather not only to celebrate but also to give back to those in need. The CP Holiday Train has raised more than $22 million and collected 5 million pounds of food, and it continues to make a lasting impact on food insecurity across North America.
This event isn’t just about the spectacle; it’s a chance for Torontonians to reconnect with the spirit of giving. So, whether it’s your first time seeing the train or an annual tradition, don’t miss the chance to witness the magic, music, and community spirit of the CP Holiday Train as it stops in Toronto.
