TORONTO, June 3, 2025 – This summer, Evergreen Brick Works is transforming into Toronto’s favourite urban escape with a dynamic lineup of free, family-friendly activities set in the heart of the Don Valley.
From outdoor movie nights under the stars, to bustling weekend markets and al fresco dining on the only patio tucked within the city’s ravine system, Summer Weekends at Evergreen Brick Works are a one-stop destination for connection, creativity and community.
“Whether you’re catching a movie with friends or family, shopping for local produce, or just soaking in nature steps from downtown, Evergreen Brick Works has something for everyone,” says Sonya Reynolds, Senior Program Manager, Public Programming at Evergreen.
Thursday Outdoor Movie Nights (July & August)
Start the weekend early! Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy free family-friendly films every Thursday evening in July and August. The series kicks off July 3 with The Wild Robot and continues with beloved classics like The Land Before Time, Moana, Wall-E, and more. See the full lineup here.
Come early and experience the Brick Works neighbourhood block party with fun and games for the whole family—think food and drinks, lending libraries with binoculars and microscopes, lawn games like giant Jenga and Cornhole, sidewalk chalk, music and scavenger hunts.
Evergreen’s local food vendors will be serving up tacos, pupusas, shawarma, falafel, and so much more. Plus, the Evergreen Bar will have cocktails, craft beer, wine, cider, and frozen treats like popsicles and ice cream sandwiches to fuel your outdoor fun.

Saturday Farmers Market & Food Court (May-October)
Enjoy a scenic Saturday at Toronto’s largest year-round Farmers Market, explore the Garden Market for native plants and sustainable gifts and unwind with live performances and fresh eats from vendors like Magic Oven and Salvadorian Grill—right on the scenic Tiffany Commons Food Court.

Sunday Artisan & Vintage Market, Food Court (May- October)
Discover handmade treasures, vintage finds and local art at the Ontario Artisan and Vintage Markets. Enjoy a rotating selection of Toronto’s top food vendors, grab a gift, then head out on a hike through the Don Valley.
