Extra GO Train Service During Toronto’s CNE

The always eagerly anticipated Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) is back from Aug. 21 – Sept. 7, 2026. Metrolinx will be adding daytime trips to Union and Exhibition Stations during the CNE and extra night-time homebound trips on the Lakeshore East and West lines to help event attendees get home safely. See details below:

Lakeshore West Line: 

• On weekdays:
  • NEW! 10:21, 13:21, 14:51, 16:29, 17:21, 17:51 and 18:43 trains departing Exhibition GO travelling to Union Station.
  • NEW! 09:32 train to Exhibition GO from Union Station, arriving at 09:46.
  • NEW! 00:17, Monday to Thursday only, train to Oakville GO from Union Station, arriving at 01:05.  
• On weekends:
  • NEW! 13:21 train departing Exhibition GO travelling to Union Station.
  • NEW! 13:59, 14:35 and 14:59 trains departing Union Station to Exhibition GO, arriving at 14:13, 14:51 and 15:13. 

Lakeshore East Line:

• On weekdays:
  • NEW! 15:31, 15:58 and 16:28 trains departing Whitby GO making all stops to Union Station, arriving at 16:33, 17:00 and 17:30. 
  • NEW! 22:35, Friday only, train departing Union Station making all stops to Whitby GO, arriving at 23:35.
  • NEW! 23:35, Monday to Thursday only, train departing Union Station making all stops to Whitby GO, arriving at 00:35. 
• On weekends:
  • NEW! 23:35 train departing Union Station making all stops to Whitby GO, arriving at 00:38. 

Stouffville Line:

• On weekdays:
  • NEW! 16:36 train departing Unionville GO making all stops to Union Station, arriving at 17:17.  

Some train arrival times to Union Station will be adjusted to arrive earlier or later than regularly scheduled. Learn more about trip adjustments here and  check schedules at gotransit.com to plan ahead.

In addition, veterans and a companion can ride GO and UP Express free to and from the CNE for the Warriors’ Day Parade on Saturday, Aug. 22, see here for full details.

Friendly reminders to ensure we travel to and from the CNE safely 

Platform Safety: We expect our trains and platforms to be busier than usual during the CNE. Please stay well back from the yellow line on train platforms. Remember that crossing train tracks is dangerous and illegal; only use the stairs or elevators to get to another platform.
