Toronto’s castle has gone full gothic again. For one of its most anticipated annual events, Casa Loma has transformed its grounds into Legends of Horror, a chilling, immersive Halloween theatrical experience celebrating its 10th anniversary and running nightly through October 31, 2026.
Think of it as a haunted house that got a big promotion on the grandest of scales. Guests wind their way through two kilometres of interactive sets across the castle’s lower gardens and its haunted underground tunnels, wandering at their own pace for about an hour as the sun sets and the moon rises.
What’s Waiting in the Dark
Legends of Horror is a promenade theatre experience, built around theatrical takes on classic horror characters, themes, and décor. Expect jump scares and surprises around every turn, dramatic lighting, 3D imagery projections, and animatronics.
The spine-tingling journey starts in the property’s lower gardens before winding into Sir Henry Pellatt’s dimly lit underground tunnels. From there, guests make their way to the castle’s haunted Stables — a chamber of horrors that’s home to the freaky, fantastical Dr. Frankenstein and his cast of scary monsters and super creeps.

Cocktails Among the Creatures
Even the brave need a break. Midway through the lower gardens, the Captain Morgan Bar and Lounge lets guests refuel with Halloween-inspired cocktails, including the Franken Colada, Mai Die, Necromancer Negroni, and Ogre Old Fashioned.

The bar comes with an immersive backdrop of its own and unparalleled views of the castle’s dramatic exterior projections. Elsewhere in the gardens, live DJs keep the energy up as guests soak up Casa Loma after dark. It’s all designed, organizers say, to go well beyond a traditional haunted house.
“Legends of Horror is Toronto’s most comprehensive Halloween night-out experience, combining world-class immersive theatre, elevated food and cocktails, and live entertainment all within Casa Loma’s iconic setting,” said Nick Di Donato, president and CEO of Liberty Entertainment Group. “It’s thrilling to see the castle transform into this kind of theatrical space where every corner becomes a scene, inviting audiences to experience Casa Loma in a way they never have before.”
