TORONTO, ON, August 18, 2021 – Drive Festival, Canada’s largest interactive outdoor automotive exhibitions and the first major automotive event in over 18 months, is set to launch at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on Friday, September 10th and will run through Sunday, September 12th, 2021. Produced by National Event Management and based on preeminent car events in the world, including the Goodwood Festival of Speed in England and Monterey Car Week in California, this event will inspire and capture the imagination of Canadian car lovers.

“Canada has never had an automotive festival with an interactive offering quite like this and we are thrilled to be bringing this dynamic event to the market,” says Adam Ruppel, co-founder and event manager of Drive Festival. “This family-friendly weekend truly has something for everyone and offers a unique opportunity for attendees to engage with other car enthusiasts, check out exotic brands and potentially plan their next purchase.”

McLaren720S
The beating heart of the 720S is a new and fearsomely powerful M840T engine with 720PS. Press the start button and the twin-turbo V8 comes alive with a potent growl that ignites your senses and focuses your mind. Bathed in vibrant red light, every part of this 4.0-litre unit is refined to maximise power, sharpen responses, and increase fuel efficiency. Top speed on this car is 212 mph.

This inaugural three-day interactive event offers attendees a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the world’s most iconic and sought-after vehicles. With over 900 acres of outdoor space, a broad array of exhibitors and car clubs will be represented. This includes exotic, race and rare cars, manufacturer models featuring electric and hybrid cars, SUVs and trucks as well as vintage, modified and new motorcycles — many of which will be available for test drives.

McLaren GT
Beneath the muscular elegance of the GT’s body lies a masterclass in engineering and innovation. Standing start to 100km/h (0-62mph) takes just 3.2 seconds. Top speed is as spectacular as you’d expect from a McLaren – at 326km/h (203mph).

There are three separate test drive tracks, including the Pro Series Manufacturer Test Track, a Performance Test Track and the LINE-X Off-Road Test Track. Spectators will be able to witness the world’s most iconic cars driven at speed on The Dream Car Speed Run to celebrate the power and engineering behind elite car manufacturers. Extremely rare cars will be on display, including the original Ford GT, McLaren 765LT, Ferrari F40 and a 2021 Pagani Huayra Roadster BC.
