Sarah Richardson Among All-Star Experts at the National Home Show

Toronto, ON (February 21, 2024) – The 2024 National Home Show, presented by RE/MAX, is set to host its most exciting line-up ever of headlining speakers, presenters and special appearances across this year’s eight-day event, March 8-10 & 13-17 at the Enercare Centre, Exhibition PlaceTickets are on sale now via nationalhomeshow.com.


 
The Speakers Lounge, presented by the free streaming TV channel Homeful, packs an impressive roster of Canada’s leading designers, industry experts, and familiar faces in home design, renovation and gardening – from Breakfast Television’s resident green thumb, Frankie Flowers, home renovation pioneer and TV personality, Mike Holmes and HGTV Canada’s Sebastian Clovis. To celebrate International Women’s Day and cap off Women in Construction Week, the National Home Show will promote women in skilled trades through educational resources, panels and presentations, including a presentation on March 8th from advocate, contractor and TV personality, Sherry Holmes.

Cityline Day

Design fans should also mark their calendars for a themed Cityline Day on Saturday, March 9. Cityline’s award-winning host Tracy Moore, alongside some notable experts from the talk show, Shai DeLuca, Leigh-Ann Perrault Allaire, Sharon Grech, Sarah Gunn and Julia Grieve, will be on hand to cover a variety of home, gardening, food, and lifestyle topics. Also at the Show on Saturday, Glen Peloso will be in the Speakers Lounge sharing the latest trends in home decor and home tech: “nice must haves” vs “nice to haves.” On Sunday March 10, visitors with a green thumb can learn new gardening tips from expert landscape designer and TV personality, Carson Arthur.

House & Home Day

House & Home Day on Saturday, March 16, will feature design mogul and founder of House & Home Magazine Lynda Reeves, with fan-favourite personality and entrepreneur of TOM Design Studio, Tommy Smythe.

To close the Show on the final weekend on Sunday, March 17, the National Home Show will welcome TV hosts, renovators, and design-build duo Sarah Richardson and Alexander Younger, who have lined up a fun, informative, and interactive presentation on renovation, home design, and collaboration.

Returning Features at the National Home Show

Returning features, such as the DIY Centre, will see Toronto Home Show’s resident design and renovation ambassadors, HGTV Canada’s Desta OstapykJordan Spear and Mark Rason offer visitors hands-on training and demonstrations to empower confidence and inspiration for all home improvement projects. Also back, Ask A Professional, presented by RenoMark and Reno+Decor Magazine, will offer free 15-minute design consultations. Visitors are encouraged to bring their plans, sketches and swatches and sign up for great advice.

Top Chefs and Restaurateurs

PLUS – Some of Toronto’s top chefs and restaurateurs will be cooking it up on the Outdoor Kitchen Stage, including Asian-fusion chef Nick Liu, owner of the hotspot, DaiLo; Duchess of Sweets and Treats’ Sarah HoebekeBrian Miskofrom House of Q; Porta from the team behind Terroni restaurants; and rising star of Canada’s culinary scene, Adam Lafleur, Chef de Cuisine of Constantine. Adam is also an alumnus of the Humber College School of Culinary Arts, where chefs in training will be showcasing various cooking techniques, knife skills, and recipes daily.

This year’s Show highlights include the Bonneville Homes Feature Home& Backyard Garden Suite, styled by Aspire Design Group, the Green Building Learning ZoneCondo LivingBalcony DisplayBBC Earth Viewing Loungepowered by Paradigm, RE/MAX’s Sports Court and Backyard Games area, and Healthy Aging at Home space, a feature dedicated to design ideas and solutions for wellness and independent living at home.

The National Home Show, presented by RE/MAX, runs March 8-10 & 13-17, 2024 (closed on Monday, March 11 and Tuesday, March 12), and features more than 600 vendors and experts offering everything to do with home improvement, design, and lifestyle — from smart homes to small space living, sustainable building practices, to the newest design trends; and plenty of resources and advice to tackle any DIY project, renovation, gardening how-tos, culinary hacks and more.
