TORONTO, December 19, 2025 — Although the GTA has already been experiencing rain, wind, and snow flurries today, Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a special weather statement advising that winds will reach 60 – 80 km/h and the temperature will drop rapidly, causing slippery conditions.
ECCC says the high winds will start this afternoon and go into the evening. Weakening tonight.
A strong cold front has resulted in a rapid fall in temperatures throughout the day. Winds have also strengthened in the wake of this cold front. Travel may become difficult at times.
