Santa Claus is Coming ‘Back’ to Town

TORONTO, Oct. 13, 2022 – Some jolly big news comes today as Toronto Mayor John Tory announced that the 118th edition of the Original Santa Claus Parade will be back on the streets of Toronto this year on Sunday, November 20.

Since 1905, the Toronto Santa Claus Parade has kicked off the Christmas season, first in Toronto, then for the whole country as it has grown in popularity and importance throughout the years. The Parade brings people together, regardless of their background, celebrating hope, family and love. It’s part of the fabric of our community.

Every year hundreds of thousands of people take to the streets of Toronto to take in all the festive floats and bands, and millions more watch at home, to celebrate the beginning of this joyous season. The parade has been doing so uninterrupted for 118 years, and that’s exactly what we will happening again this year, bringing Santa’s magic to town.

As you may recall, last year’s 2021 parade was held at Canada’s Wonderland and broadcast across Canada featuring numerous star performers including Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood, Pentatonix and any more.

2022 Parade

Parade organisers are excited to share that it will be back on the streets of Toronto in 2022!
