World-class exclusive experiences abound this holiday season at Yorkdale Shopping Centre

Holiday happenings at Yorkdale include immersive Wonka experience, Santa’s Runway, Santa’s Pet Photos & expansive Christian Dior Parfums installation

World-class exclusive experiences abound this holiday season at Yorkdale Shopping Centre, one of North America’s leading shopping destinations, with the debut of an expansive Christian Dior Parfums installation featuring a distinctive Dior Holiday Tree and Dior Atelier of Dreams holiday pop-up. The striking 30-foot Yorkdale Holiday Tree, made of gold and glass with an iconic Dior star, will captivate the Centre’s East Atrium and extend into the adjacent Dior Atelier of Dreams pop-up. The Dior Tree features décor comprised of more than 3,000 handmade floral ornaments, 320 butterfly ornaments, 260 illuminated Dior fragrance bottles and more than 1500 lights.

Dior Atelier of Dreams

Open from November 17th to December 31st, the Dior Atelier of Dreams holiday pop-up brings the magic of the Tuileries Garden in Paris to Toronto. Evoking the holiday campaign starring Anya Taylor-Joy by Benoît Delhomme and the golden holiday motif created for Dior by Italian artist Pietro Ruffo, the Dior Atelier of Dreams transports guests on a fantastical journey. Available at the pop-up, Dior’s Art of Gifting services allow guests to add a special touch of holiday to their gift selections with engraving services, and more.

Wonka’s Sweet Escape

This holiday season at Yorkdale, shoppers of all ages can step into a world of pure imagination and celebrate the highly anticipated theatrical release of “Wonka” with Wonka’s Sweet EscapeThis world-exclusive immersive experience will enchant the East Court beginning November 21st.

Based on the extraordinary character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Roald Dahl’s most iconic children’s book and one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, “Wonka” tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today. “Wonka” will be in theatres on December 15th.

Photos with Santa

Santa will be arriving in style with an entirely new and extensive, sparkling runway experience in the main Atrium. Skylights, glittering arches, chandeliers and twinkling lights lead to Santa’s striking photo area. The expansive 66-foot installation features a red-carpet arrival and display of original holiday couture created by CAFA (Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards) designers, commissioned by Yorkdale. Some of Canada’s leading designers were asked to create couture pieces for Santa and Mrs. Claus which include the following holiday looks:

  1. Winter Chrome Collection by Atelier Guarin (Sebastian Guarin)
  2. Couture Christmas Collection by RVNG COUTURE (Jordan Stewart)
  3. Hollywood Claus Collection by NARCES (Nikki Yassemi)

Santa will be arriving at Yorkdale beginning November 17th and photo sessions can be booked in advance.

Santa’s Pet Photo Studio, presented by Cesar ®

Furry family members can join in on the holiday fun at Yorkdale’s one-of-a-kind Pet Photo Studio. The rustic winter theme welcomes pets and their companions for one-on-one time and photos with Santa. Complete with chalet-style decor, brightly lit Christmas trees, and a welcoming sofa, Yorkdale invites families to capture pup or kitten’s Santa photo.

Pet photo sessions with Santa begin December 1st. Sessions must be booked in advance here.
