A section of TTC Subway Line 1 service will be closed this weekend and a Line 2 section won’t open until noon Sunday

TTC Shuttle Buses will operate until regular subway schedules are resumed

TORONTO, March 31, 2023 – Getting around the city on public transit this weekend could pose extra challenges as TTC has announced that effective Saturday April 1, to Sunday, April 2, 2023 there will be no subway service on Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and York Mills stations on Saturday April 1, and Sunday, April 2, 2023, for work on the Automatic Train Control signal system.

As a result, shuttle buses will operate. Regular subway service will resume at approximately 6 a.m. Monday April 3, 2023.

York Mills and Bloor-Yonge are both accessible stations. If you require a connection at a station that may not be accessible, please speak to any TTC employee for assistance.

Summerhill Station will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO Tickets and connect to surface routes.

TTC Subway Line 2 (Bloor – Danforth)–St George to Broadview late opening April 2

Subway service on Line 2 between St George and Broadview stations will start by 12 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 for Prince Edward Viaduct beam replacement. Shuttle buses will operate.

Bay and Sherbourne stations will be closed. All other subway stations will remain open for customers to load their PRESTO card, purchase PRESTO tickets and connect to surface routes.
