TORONTO, April 8, 2022 – Platinum certified pop songstress Jocelyn Alice shares the visualizer for latest single ‘Heartbreak Station’ available today via So This Is Music. The track, co-written by Alice and Corey Lerue of Neon Dreams who also takes producing credit, alludes to a heartbreak caused by infidelity and the wrenching feeling when someone you love finally moves on with Jocelyn singing “I’m at a heartbreak station waiting patiently for the pain train to leave”.

Throughout the visualizer, viewers are taken back and forth between a restaurant atmosphere with a modest aesthetic to an illuminated restaurant-turned dance club with the music video inspired by Jawbreaker and Promising Young Woman, both films which showcase the dark and twisted reality of balancing forgiveness and vengeance. The release marks the second single off the songwriter’s forthcoming album due in September 2022.

“As a director and choreographer, I have the privilege of working with artists like Jocelyn to bring out their true stories, to help them find power and authenticity in their words and their bodies. From writing treatments and discussing creative concepts, to hours in the studio working on choreography, to conceiving the looks for the video, Jocelyn has always had strong ideas for what she wants, paired with an openness to be vulnerable and curious to new ways of portraying her songs.” – Caroline Tori (Director of ‘Heatbreak Station’ video)

“The video for ‘Heartbreak Station’ is my favourite thing that I have ever created. I got to work with some of the most talented people that I have ever been surrounded by while challenging myself in ways I never thought imaginable.

Alice is from Calgary and first rose to fame with her 2015 breakout smash and SOCAN Award winning hit ‘Jackpot’, which topped the radio and sales charts, achieving prestigious Music Canada Platinum-certification, while follow-up singles ‘Feels Right’ and ‘Bound To You’ were both Music Canada Gold-certified. A prolific songwriter, Alice has co-written tracks featured in the hit TV shows One Tree Hill and Pretty Little Liars, the movie Dear Santa, and more. She also served as the voice of American retailer Target, covering ‘(So Groovy) Reach Out of the Darkness’ in a popular nationwide TV ad campaign.
