The Regent Park Film Festival’s beloved Under the Stars series is back, lighting up Toronto nights once again! Running every Wednesday in July, this free, community-driven outdoor film experience invites people of all ages and backgrounds to gather in the Big Park for movies, food, and fun—all under the open sky.

- Friday July 25 • Special screening at Milliken Park, Scarborough (5555 Steeles Ave E)

- July 9 – The Colours Within (Naoko Yamada, 2024) CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN
A moving anime-family story about a teen who sees “emotional colours” and forms a band on a remote island. - July 16 – Hit the Road (Panah Panahi, 2021)
An Iranian road-trip comedy-drama that’s sharp, heartfelt, and deeply resonant - July 23 – A Nice Indian Boy (Roshan Sethi, 2024)
A Bollywood-tinged rom-com tackling culture, traditions, and modern love—with stars Karan Soni and Jonathan Groff - July 25 (Scarborough) – Dìdi (Sean Wang, 2024)
A coming-of-age drama about a Taiwanese American teen exploring family, skateboarding, and first love at summer’s end.

Pre‑Show Fun, Food & Community:
- Arrive at 7:30 pm for games, dance, music classes and family-friendly activities.
- From 5 pm, “Taste of Regent Park” startup offers diverse, affordable eats before the film
- Popcorn, pop and water available on-site; bring your own blanket or chair—seating is first-come, first-served.
Accessibility & Onsite Amenities:
- All films are open-captioned in English.
- Accessible paths, stroller- and mobility-friendly seating are provided—reserve ahead if needed.
- Toilets: available at Daniels Spectrum (Regent Park) and at Milliken Park.
- Two public water fountains on-site; refreshments for sale onsite.

Getting There & Parking:
- Regent Park:
- Take the TTC 505 streetcar from Dundas (eastbound) or Broadview (westbound), get off at Sackville. Underground parking at Daniels Spectrum (~$10/8h) via Sackville St, or nearby lots.
- Milliken Park:
- At 5555 Steeles Ave E (northeast corner). TTC bus routes 129, 129A, 53B, 953A pass nearby; Milliken GO station is closest for commuters. Free park parking available.
