Foodie Aisle now open at Union Station with market-style options from local eateries

TORONTO, ON – November 30, 2021 – The new Foodie Aisle s an urban culinary experience for food lovers and it just opened at Union Station. From dim sum and roti – to tacos, fried chicken and smash burgers – Foodie Aisle offers a diverse selection of market-style cuisine from some of the city’s top local chefs.

Located below the GO Bay Concourse, Foodie Aisle opens a new direct route to Scotiabank arena and is the first phase of an extensive expansion project by Osmington Inc. in partnership with Beauleigh Retail Consultants that will see a mix of over 75 retailers and food and beverage vendors come to the country’s busiest transit hub over the next few years. The Foodie Aisle sits between what will become the new Bay Retail area, which will be home to several international brands, such as Sephora, and the Fresh Market, which will offer grocery and specialty food items.

Mean Bao

The sixth outpost for this popular eatery, Mean Bao’s dim sum inspired menu offers a delicious selection of pillowy soft bao filled with savoury ingredients such as pork belly or braised beef, and made to order steamed dumplings.

Butter Chicken Roti

With a mission to bring the best flavours of India to the GTA, Butter Chicken Roti’s menu features traditional curries wrapped inside Indian flatbread. Customize your roti with spice levels that range from mild to ‘nuclear hot’!

Mikey’s Smashburgers

The latest venture by Chef Michael Angeloni, Mikey’s Smashburgers features locally sourced, hormone and antibiotic free beef. In addition to classic patties, Mikey’s menu also includes speciality items like the Jalapeno Cheese Dip Burger, Pastrami Patty Melt and stuffed mushroom burger.

Grand Tacos Taqueria

A fusion of traditional recipes and plant-forward super foods, owner Nancy Manotas describes her cuisine as ‘healthy Mexican fast food’. Featuring an all-day menu, Grand Tacos Taqueria offers several vegan and non-vegan options including the Grand Quesadilla Vegana with house-made organic corn ‘criollo’ tortillas, plant-based cheese, onions, peppers, avocadoes and herbs; or tacos with grass-fed hormone and antibiotic free beef, or Canadian sourced smoked fish.

Union Chicken

The second Union location for this Toronto favourite, Union Chicken offers its signature buttermilk breaded boneless fried chicken thighs atop a Martin’s soft potato roll. Choose from the classics menu featuring the OG with slaw, maple honey, UC ranch and banana peppers, or try a Union Chicken favourite like the Cheesy Dipper with pickled jalapeno cheddar cheese sauce, iceberg and UC ranch.
