Giant Maze pops up at Toronto’s Evergreen Brickworks

There are so many fun family activities at Evergreen Brickworks this winter including a giant maze made entirely of reusable wood

TORONTO, February 6, 2023 – There is a flurry of activities taking place at Evergreen Brick Works this winter. Starting Saturday, February 11, a giant 14,000 sq. ft. maze will be at the site for all weekends and holidays until March 19. The walls of the winter themed maze are constructed of reusable wood made from Grip Block that stands 7 feet tall. It will be the largest structure of its kind made in Canada.

Great for families and groups, admission to this attraction includes access to the maze, unlimited train rides, marshmallow fire fits, photo opportunities, a scavenger hunt with prizes, kid-friendly axe throwing, giant Jenga, corn hole toss, warming stations, food vendors, music and more. General admission tickets are $20 for ages 13 and over, $16 for ages 3 to 12 and free for ages 2 and under. Tickets are available online at www.thegiantmaze.com.

In addition to the maze, there are plenty of free winter activities taking place at the Brick Works that are open to the public:

Evergreen Brickworks public skating will operate each weekend until March from 12 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Learn more


Public Skating. Visitors can bring their own gear or enjoy free skate and helmet rentals care of Interac® to enjoy one of the most picturesque skate rinks in Toronto, surrounded by snow-covered gardens under exposed beams from the roof of the old brick factory. The skate, featuring an ECO CHILL® refrigeration system for sustainable cooling, will operate each weekend until March from 12 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Learn more.

The Saturday Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the CRH Gallery and features over 60 local farmers, producers, entrepreneurs and chefs. Learn more.

The Children’s Garden is open to kids of all ages for Weekend Nature Play from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and select Sundays. Children can play and learn through active, inclusive kid-friendly nature-based activities and crafts. Learn more.
