Leslieville Beerfest has a fresh new look and name for 2024!
Okay, so here’s the scoop! The beloved Leslieville Beerfest is evolving! This year, the popular community event has a new name and refreshed vision – welcome to Leslieville Block Fest! On August 24, 2024, visit Leslieville to celebrate the vibrant spirit of the east side village with a diverse array of vendors, engaging activities, and community highlights.
So, Why the Change?
The beerfest rebranding to Leslieville Block Fest reflects the community’s commitment to broadening the scope of the event and enhancing its appeal beyond just beer enthusiasts, to all members of the Leslieville neighbourhood. While the BIA says the event will still feature some fantastic breweries, it is now a celebration of all things Leslieville, offering something for everyone – from families to dog lovers.
What’s New This Year? All things Leslieville!
Expanded Vendor Lineup
This year’s event boasts a remarkable array of new vendors, including:
Metrolinx
Sponsoring in support of their Ontario Line construction efforts. – **Beanfield** – Bringing connectivity and community spirit.
Gerrard Square Mall
Offering a fun experience for all.
The Weir Team
Providing family-friendly entertainment and support.
Gerrard Street Bakery
Treating attendees to their renowned butter tart ice cream sandwiches.
Toronto Dog Moms and Bark and Chill
Featuring great dog merchandise and frozen treats.
Family Focus
This year, we are placing a higher emphasis on family-friendly activities. Enjoy face painting, a kid’s giveaway and colouring station, and free entry for anyone under 18, sponsored by The Weir Team.
Dog-Friendly Fun
Dogs are welcome with free entry sponsored by Bark and Chill. Bring your furry friends to enjoy special dog merch and frozen treats.
Community Involvement
We’re proud to feature:
– 78th Fraser Highlanders, will be parading on-site, adding a touch of honor and excitement. – Support from local organizations like the Red Door Shelter and three public libraries –
Riverdale, Queen/Saulter, and Jones Branches.
