The Raptors clinched a playoff berth last night with a whopping 121-113 victory over Golden State in their own house spoiling the ‘media circus’ return of the Warriors’ superstar Steph Curry. It was the earliest date and game in franchise history that the team has clinched the playoffs.

The Raps also become only the second team to book a spot in the playoffs where they hope to defend last year’s incredible run and repeat as NBA Champions.

It was the first time Toronto had visited the Bay Area since defeating Golden State in the finals last year.

Last night’s game saw Norman Powell lead the Raptors putting up a career-high 37 points, which included a 4-for-8 night from outside the 3-point line.

The surging Milwaukee Bucks, are the only other team to clinch a spot in the post season and they staked their claim last week on February 24.

The 2020 playoffs are expected to begin on April 18 and all of Canada is hoping for a repeat of last year’s incredible run by their beloved Toronto Raptors.
