TORONTO, March 3, 2025 – A Special Weather Statement warning of significant rainfall and rapid snow melt expected Wednesday according to Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Canada’s most trusted weather source says southern Ontario should expect 10 to 20 mm of rain on Tuesday night and Wednesday.
Rain accompanied by isolated thunderstorms will impact southern Ontario on Wednesday.
Flooding almost certain
Of course, this heavy rainfall, combined with rapidly melting snow and the limited ability of the frozen ground to absorb the rain may lead to localized flooding in low lying areas and water pooling on roads.
