El Mocambo Entertainment Inc. and Michael Wekerle, owner of the El Mocambo, were thrilled to mark the launch on November 9th of the newly announced partnership with Lemmon Entertainment – an established platform synonymous with talent incubation and emerging artists.

“I am so excited to bring together a diverse line-up of artists to launch our Weekly Residency Series at The El Mo. We are creating a space for artists to be discovered, and for fans to experience discovery,” states Lemmon Entertainment founder, Jessica Lemmon.

The November 9th launch event hosted by Alan Cross featured performances by Whale and the Wolf and and JUNO Award winning Lemmon Stage Alumni, The Beaches. The launch event was also livestreamed via lemmonstage.com.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Lemmon Entertainment on this important endeavour to support the recovery of our live music scene. We have a very special guest performing to kick this off with an artist, that I promise you, is not Lame!” shares El Mocambo owner Michael Wekerle. And that band turned out to be Toronto’s own beloved alt-pop rockers The Beaches.

For almost 10 years, The Lemmon Stage has offered many the opportunity and stage to highlight and elevate new and exciting music, discovering, and nurturing such artists as The Beaches, The Dirty Nil, Courage My Love and Sumo Cyco.
