Toronto Raptors select forward Jonathan Mogbo (MOE-bo) 31st overall in the 2024 NBA Draft

TORONTO, June 28, 2024 – Last night, the Toronto Raptors have selected forward Jonathan Mogbo (MOE-bo) 31st overall in the 2024 NBA Draft. The Raptors owned the first pick of the second round, which was held Thursday evening at ESPN’s Seaport District Studios in New York.

Mogbo, 6-foot-6, 217 pounds, was drafted by the Raptors following his senior season at the University of San Francisco, where he averaged 14.2 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.6 steals and 28.9 minutes in 34 games. He led the West Coast Conference in field goal percentage (.636) while also pacing the conference in both rebounds and steals per game. For his efforts, Mogbo was named the 2023-24 WCC Newcomer of the Year and earned All-WCC First Team honours.

A native of West Palm Beach, Florida, Mogbo began his collegiate career at Independence Community College (2020-21), before playing at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (2021-22) and Missouri State (2022-23).

New this year, the NBA Draft expanded to a two-night format. On the draft’s first night, Toronto selected guard Ja’Kobe Walter in the first round (19th overall).
