Toronto weekend weather: Heat Warning continues with chance of showers and thunderstorms
TORONTO, ON, July 10, 2020 — Toronto weekend weather report — Toronto and the GTHA continues to be under a Heat Warning according to Environment Canada as Friday temperatures could reach as high as 34 degrees celsius. But the good news is lawns and gardens may receive a sporadic dousing of H0 over the weekend and into Monday.
The bright sunshine early this afternoon will give way to a mix of sun and cloud with 30 percent chance of showers late this afternoon. There is also a risk of a thunderstorm late this afternoon. Environment Canada says the wind will be south 20 km/h gusting to 40 this afternoon. The High on Friday will be 34 with a Humidex of 41. Meanwhile the UV index 9 or in other words, very high.
Tonight expect it to be mainly cloudy with 30 percent chance of showers and risk of a thunderstorm. Wind south 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light this evening. Low 21.
Saturday weather
For the rest of the weekend, on Saturday there is a 60 per cent chance of showers along with a risk of thunderstorms. The High will be a bit cooler at 27 with a Humidex of 33. UV index will also drop somewhat to 6m which is still fairly high. For Saturday night it should cool down a somewhat. Expect cloudy periods with a 40 percent chance of showers and a cool welcomed Low of 20.
Sunday forecast
On Sunday it will be cloudy with a high of 26 celsius along with a 30 percent chance of showers. While Sunday night will have cloudy periods and a 60 percent chance of showers. The Low on Sunday night will be 18.
Heading back into the work week, Monday will be slightly cooler with a High of 25 along with a 60 percent chance of showers.
