Union Summer heats things up with Toronto’s best food and music

Featuring 47 days of FREE live performances and a massive welcoming patio

Hey Toronto commuters and passers-by! Get ready because Union Summer, presented by TD, is back for its eighth and most exciting season yet! From June 25 to August 10, Union Station’s Front Street plaza will transform into a lively outdoor summer market offering tasty eats, 47 days of free live performances and a welcoming patio big enough to fit all your friends. 

Four must-try eats at UNION SUMMER

  1. Cherry St. BBQ: Cherry St. specializes in authentic Pit Smoked meats prepared over live oak fires using ‘time-honoured’ and classic Southern smoking traditions. Their Union Summer location will offer a selection of menu classics and sides. 
  2. Blue Bovine by Liberty Group: Blue Bovine will bring bold cuts and steakhouse favourites with a modern edge, Blue Bovine combines the traditional steakhouse with the traditional Japanese sushi house. 
  3. Sumaq Iraqi Charcoal Grill: A takeout-focused restaurant in Scarborough and Mississauga specializing in Iraqi shawarma and kababs where every bite is bold, halal and unforgettable. The restaurant is family-run by Ibrahim, Mohammed, and Mustafa Al-Ameri, along with their cousin Hamzah and recently went viral when the top TikTok food reviewer Keith Lee visited Toronto and raved about their shawarma.
  4. Rick’s Good Eats: A beloved fusion of Punjabi and Canadian comfort food bringing bold, craveable flavours from Chef and media personality Rick Matharu. Rick created Good Eats to offer a true taste of the immigrant experience — served with soul, spice, and serious comfort! 

Dessert lovers are in for a treat with a dessert booth that will feature a variety of rotating, local favourites: Kawartha Dairy, Ruru Baked, and Chocollata, offering everything from classic scoops to artisan confections. In addition, visitors can refresh and relax at Malibu Bar for some tropical cocktails, canned coolers, frozen drinks, and wine. 

While visitors wine and dine, the market will also host over a hundred live musical acts with two major headliner performances presented by TD Music that will book-end the summer festivities.

Kardinal Offishall, the multi-award winning global Jamaican-Canadian hip hop icon, who will officially kick off the market on June 26 at 6pm. 

And who better to get things started with an ‘official’ opening than, Kardinal Offishall, the multi-award winning global Jamaican-Canadian hip hop icon, who will officially kick off the market on June 26 at 6pm. 

Visitors can expect a mix of hip-hop with dancehall, reggae, and Caribbean influences. Don’t miss Skratch Bastid on August 9th, who is set to bring his epic DJ’ing skills to the TD Stage with an unrivalled ability to create unforgettable moments with music.
