“Our culinary team is humbled by the abundance of quality Japanese cuisine available in Toronto, and are
honoured to have the opportunity to share our unique take with this amazing city. Japanese cuisine is not
just about food—it’s about culture, connection, and craft. We hope that Toronto will come to appreciate our
dedication to providing simple yet exceptional Japanese dining experiences through our beloved hand
rolls. We are excited to welcome guests to our King Street location and become part of this city’s
incredible culinary story.,” said Jay Pugong, Corporate Chef.
Originally from Vancouver, this unique concept has achieved remarkable success, with three locations in
downtown Robson, Brentwood, and Richmond Centre. The group plans to open three additional locations
in the heart of Toronto by the end of 2025. The flagship on King Street features a modern design that
incorporates a harmonious blend of wood, stone, and water into its architecture. Each pillar reflects the
unique characteristics of Toronto’s skyline and buildings while capturing the incredible variety of elements
that exist throughout the city.
“As we prepare to open our first location outside of Vancouver, we reflect on this incredible year. Our vision
has always been to grow our restaurant group to 100 outlets worldwide, and with three new restaurants
opening in under a year, that vision has never felt more attainable. The quality of our product and the
experience we provide form our foundation, and we are committed to ensuring that these principles are
woven into every new venture Hello Nori undertakes,” said Isaac Olivier, Director of Operations.
