More than 25 per cent of eligible Toronto residents now have their third COVID-19 vaccine dose

With Ontario seeing record-high 5,790 COVID cases today, Team Toronto says more than 25 per cent of eligible Toronto residents have now received their third COVID-19 vaccine dose. Here is a comprehensive listing of where Toronto residents can receive first, second and third doses.

Team Toronto and all of its partners are working hard heading into the holiday weekend to get eligible residents vaccinated with their first, second and third doses of COVID-19 vaccine. To date, more than 25 per cent (one in four) of eligible adult residents in Toronto over the age of 18 have had their third dose administered.

Toronto Public Health (TPH) continues to urge everyone who is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine to get fully vaccinated, including their third or “booster” dose, as quickly as possible to increase their protection against the virus, including the new COVID-19 Omicron variant.

Thousands of vaccine appointment options are available through Team Toronto partners at City of Toronto-run clinics, hospital partner clinics, local pharmacies and doctors’ offices, including the following clinic locations operating today:

City-run immunization clinics

The five City-run immunization clinics continue to add new appointments for first, second and third doses of COVID-19 vaccine. More information

To easily connect to resources, including vaccine appointment bookings and information on vaccines, Toronto residents can text “VACCINE” to 1-833-750-0888 or 833-750-0888 for more information through the City’s VaxTO program.

Given the emergence of the new Omicron variant and ongoing community transmission of the Delta variant, TPH urges all eligible residents to book their third-dose appointment to ensure they have an extra layer of protection. Residents who have not yet received their first or second COVID-19 vaccine shot are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. COVID-19 vaccines lower the risk of serious illness, hospitalization and death, while protecting oneself, loved ones and the community.

Residents should also continue to follow public health measures such as mask wearing, good hand hygiene and physical distancing. Those who have symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to stay at home and get tested as soon as possible. Read more information about COVID-19 in Toronto.
